Blessing everybody I am so proud to present to you a new site that is launching on January 1st called The Hip Hop Debate. The site is being ran by one of my favorite people on twitter, she is a down to Earth hip hop head and she really knews her hip hop. Peep the interview and make sure to look out for the launch of the site.
1. First things first, tell us about yourself, where are you from, & what does Hip Hop mean to you???
Well to begin with, my name is Krystal Ellis, I’m 21 years old and I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. I’m in school right now as a business management, but I have a huge passion for music, especially hip hop, so I use my website as a kind of 24- hour side grind haha. Hip-hop to me is…. Life. It encompasses all aspects of your life, emotional, mental, physical everything. It’s crazy, because I used to be one of those teeny boppers who only listened to Nsync & Britney Spears, but I transitioned to rap around the age of 16, then I transitioned to HIP-HOP (yes there’s a difference) when I was about 18. Once I made that transition, I fell in love HARD. It became a way for me to sort through my feelings, because in hip-hop there’s so much feeling, whether it be pain, overcoming downfalls, joy, success, or an egotistical “I’m The Shit” track. There’s something for everyone.
2. What influenced you to launch The Hip Hop Debate and what are you trying to achieve with the site?
Fantastic ideas just pop into my head sometime like BAM, Krystal, this is what you have to do, here’s the plan, let’s go. And that’s kind of how the site came about. It all stemmed from my love for hip hop, and of course when you love something , you talk about it… A LOT. Long story short, it got to a point where my best friend Vander Jones (co-participant of the site & an artist himself) & I would sit on the phone til the crack of dawn just talking music. Then on Facebook or Twitter, I was always getting into a discussion with someone about hip-hop, or going in on some hip-hop quote trending topic, etc. Soon enough, people began to hit me up with my opinion on a mixtape or song, my thoughts on an artist, and all my friends were bringing their ipods to me to get the dopest music out. Anyway, it just hit me one day, after one of my twitter rants about the poison on the radio that’s passing for music, that I should do something with my love for hip-hop. And that’s where The Hip Hop Debate was born. I wanted to create an arena where people like me could go and discuss the hip-hop that they love, or hate, & get other’s opinions of it too. REAL HIP HOP… not toot it & boot it & ish like that, which you won’t find on my site… sorry.
3. What type of content will be found on The Hip Hop Debate?
You’ll find quite a few things on the site that I think a lot of people will enjoy. Originally it was just supposed to be a forum type set up where I posted an album and asked for opinions on it, but it’s become much more than that. It’s a really simple website (I’m no web designer lol), but you will find recent news in hip-hop. There will be a featured Current Artist of the week, a featured Throwback Artist of the week, & a featured Freshman Class artist of the week, and all will be available for debate, and you’ll be able to look at videos and listen to some of the music that they’ve had over the span of their career. In addition to that I have the L&D (listen & download) lounge page where you can listen and download the hottest mixtapes out, and the hottest singles circling the web. That’s the basics, but I know there’ll be more, because everyday a new dope idea pop’s in my head for the site.
4. What are you currently listening to right now?
Man, in the past week I’ve listened to approximately 50 mixtapes & 30-40 singles just getting ready for music to go up on the site, so I’m up to my ears in hip-hop right now. But some standout mixtapes/albums that I’ve recently had in rotation when I’m not doing work for the site are: · B.O.B.- No genre · Kendrick Lamar- (O)verly (D)edicated · J. Cole- Friday Night Lights · Pugs Atomz- The Decade All of which are available for download on my site, except for Pugs Atomz, people have to go buy that. You know I had to throw that in there haha.
5. If you were stranded on an island and you could only have 5 cds what would those cds be?
I was DREADING this question, haha, it’s so difficult. Okay off top I’d definitely have Lupe Fiasco’s Food & Liquor and Lupe Fiasco’s The Cool, because he’s my favorite hip-hop artist. After that I think it would be Kanye West My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, Pharrell In My Mind and….. damn, ummmm… it doesn’t have to be a hip-hop album right, because if not it would be Amy Winehouse Frank. She’s my favorite singer.
6. Is their anything else you would like to tell us? Unfortunately I can’t give you the url or the Facebook like page to my site yet, I’m not releasing it until midnight, January 1st. But follow The Hip Hop Debate on twitter: @TheHipHopDebate http://twitter.com/thehiphopdebate. I update what’s going on with the site daily so that’s where you’ll get the information you need to know. You can also follow my personal twitter @MsClassySxyCool http://twitter.com/MsClassySxyCool. Also, I’m always looking for unsigned, unheard of, brand new, etc, artists to feature as a Freshman Class artist each week, so if you think you have what it takes, send your music to TheHipHopDebate@yahoo.com for review. And… I’m trying to give you all my info haha… if you would like to be a part of the site, I’m always looking for people who love hip-hop to help me get the latest news, the latest music, the latest mixtapes, and the latest artists, so once again, email TheHipHopDebate@yahoo.com and let us know! I think that’s about it. Thanks for having me here. Stay dope!
The Vibe and Source has there favorite blog list, this is ours. This list is in no particular order and its not the complete list, look to your right and you will find a long list of other blogs that we love. We love the originality of these blogs and not being like the rest of the "blogs" out there, translation not copying and pasting of every post on every other blog.

Infinity has been missing on the blog scene for a while now but she has three new post up at Calla's Creations, go check them out and cook something delicious for your family for Christmas.
Ingredients
1 tablespoon unsalted butter, for pan
Red Velvet Brownie Layer 1 stick unsalted butter 1 cup sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/4 cup cocoa powder Pinch salt 1 tablespoon red food coloring 1 teaspoon vinegar 2 eggs 3/4 cup all-purpose flour 1/4 cup chopped toasted walnuts
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Butter an 8 by 8-inch baking pan, and set aside.
Brownie layer: In a saucepan on medium heat melt the butter. Remove the butter to a large bowl and add the sugar, vanilla, cocoa powder, salt, food coloring, and vinegar, in that order, mixing between additions. Whisk the eggs in a small bowl and stir it into the cocoa mix. Fold in the flour until lightly combined. Stir in the walnuts and pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, saving 1/4 cup of the batter for the top.
Cream cheese layer: Blend together the cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla in a medium bowl. Gently spread the cream cheese layer on top of the brownie batter in the pan. Dollop the remaining brownie batter over the cream cheese layer. Using a skewer or the tip of a knife, drag the tip through the cream cheese mixture to create a swirl pattern. Bake the brownies for 30 minutes. Remove to a cooling rack and allow them to cool completely before cutting.

DISCLAIMER: I am a Microsoft fangirl and I approached this review as unbiased as I can be.
Before I get this review started, I have to show love to Digs and HL, whenever you want us to review a game just let us know fellas, thanks for the support. Golden Eye 007 is a excellent game for "Wii" standards, to take a classic game and revamp it for today's standards was a great idea. The biggest problem where this title fails is not being ported on to other consoles. The look, sound, and feel of GE007 is really good even though the Wii is not 1080p. GE007 has a high replay value, when the difficulty is changed more objectives are added though out the level.
The only problems I really ran encountered was aiming and not having anyone to play with. The aiming system will at a little weird at times when you aim around close corners. I really had no one to experience the greatness of the 4 player split screen because all of my friends play the xbox 360 and not the Wii. I give a GE007 a 4 out of 5 because of the aiming issues. Overall this title is a excellent game but its really not worth me buying a Wii to play a handful of titles. I can wait for a Wii to be 50 bucks and buy it then, it will play the same there is no rush to spend excess money for one title. It might be easier to buy a used SNES off ebay, craigslist, or a pawn shop and spend less money. If you already had a Wii, buy Golden Eye 007 its worth it.

This is a post made over at GameNTrain by my buddy Susiehulk. Check it out, this post references the game Costa was speaking on in her Zumba Fitness post. Those who really know me are aware I have certain allergies; kiwi fruit, fish and exercise. I compare exercising to a form of virus; aches, breaking out in a sweat, fatigue, etc. I can never stay motivated enough to reap even the basics from a gym membership, and have seen my hard-earnt dollars go to waste. Yep – even having my credit card charged every fortnight wasn’t enough to motivate me. What’s my point? I’ve barely had Kinect for a month, and right now I am 13lbs lighter without even trying – with thanks to Dance Central.
I must admit, it’s been more than 10 years after my final curtsy from professional dancing, and Dance Central struck me as being not only a challenge, but also my game. It never occurred how much exercise I was going to gain from it – it didn’t cross my mind. Perhaps if it did, well… I do have allergies…
I started the game in Break it Down mode where it instructs step by step the required dance moves in a song. I selected ‘hard’ for my difficulty setting just to see how challenging it would be for Perform It! mode. If at first you don’t succeed the dance move, you will get 3 chances to pass it. If you find within those 3 attempts you still can’t quite get it, it’ll move onto the next dance step – don’t worry you can go back and try it again later. You can also choose to slow the song down and the game will talk you through it. Pretty neat huh? Dance Central features a diverse cast of characters whose dance steps you will mirror. It will also highlight in red where you’re just not getting it.
Perform It! mode is for solo performances of each song, and Dance Battle is Local Competitive for 2 players. Unfortunately there is no opportunity to do this over Xbox Live. I was disappointed to see it didn’t exist, and there are also 2 Achievements for Dance Battle. Looks like I’ll need to pay a friend to be defeated invite a friend to come over and play some Dance Central with me. Each song will take a photo of you and during Freestyle mode you take the stage and dance your own steps. If you move around enough, you should get a flawless result each time – and not only gain points from it but you’ll also receive a video of yourself as a souvenir to remind you just how good (or bad) you really are!
A full list of Dance Central Achievements can also be found here.
The day after I first played Dance Central, I really felt the stiffness and lactic acid sting. Oh it brought back repressed memories of the gym. Unlike my regular “oh but I am too sore” excuse to get me out of the gym for a few days, I was going back for more. As much as my arms ached reaching for the disc it didn’t stop me putting in the game and having another thirty minutes or so of practicing a song, or learning the steps of a new one. I was hooked.
“Hi I’m SiouxsieKate, and I’m a Dance Central addict.”
I also noticed a feature of Dance Central that I will always use whenever I play; workout mode. Toggle this feature in the Perform It! song menu, and everything will still play as normal – you just need to enter your weight and it gives you an estimate on how many calories you’ve burnt in that session and total dance duration. Thirty minutes of Dance Central burns approximately 120 calories for me, and I’m not on a boring treadmill – the time just flies. For those seeing Kinect as a way to involuntarily exercise, please speak with your doctor or medical provider on a suitable weight loss plan.
The best thing I liked about Dance Central? Unlike Guitar Hero/Rock Band, if you really are struggling or make too many errors, it wont stop mid-song – you’ll just bow out with a low score and few stars. Practice makes perfect *grin*.
Full lists of the songs in-game are found here, and the Xbox Live Marketplace currently has six songs as DLC. Want a song featured in Dance Central? Head to the official Dance Central website and you can request a song in the forums.
Will you get bored of Dance Central? I couldn’t answer that for everyone. I will say there is an achievement worth 50GS to complete every song with a 5-star rating on hard. I aim for this achievement during my thirty minute workout.
I rate Dance Central 4 out of 5 stars. I might have given it a full 5 stars given the game was released at launch with no bugs/problems, it’s encouraging and it works with real results. It missed out the final star due to lack of Xbox Live features.
Below is a video I captured this morning for this week’s Simply Kinect to give you an idea on how it looks in Workout mode. Normally I do the Chicken Dance in Freestyle mode, but I felt like showing off (my foolishness) instead. Until next week, ENJOY!

I have no idea where to start with this review, besides saying bottom line Zumba Fitness is a workout from hell. Its not a bad work out but a good work out, I know I have lost some pounds since buying Kinect and especially since the purchase of Zumba Fitness. Zumba Fitness takes the gym workout experience and delivers it to your home right in from of your TV. You don't have to worry about being embarrassed from being off beat, missing steps completely, or worried about perverts staring at you while working out. Avoiding the perverts is a huge plus for me, but going to the gym seems to much like a job. Playing Zumba Fitness on Kinect makes working out fun. In comparison to the other kinect title Dance Central, Zumba Fitness is very advance in relations to difficulty. Dance Central provides dance cards for you to prompt the next dance step but with Zumba Fitness its pretty much learn as you go besides the basic tutorials. On a scale of 1 to 10, I will give Zumba fitness an 8 because it can be frustrating at times trying to blend the moves and the main menu interface is just down right horrible. Besides those flaw, you will experience a excellent workout.

I thought this was the coolest thing, who wants to GIVE me 55K to buy the Tron cycle but I'll wait for a street legal replica of Kaneda's bike from Akira if I have any givers.
Brink is scheduled to be released April 2011 hopefully with no more push backs. This is a great article I found out CGSociety (The Society of Digital Artist). This article gives insight into the art of Brink and the creative process. Check it out and if your not familiar with Brink the trailer is below.

Well whats going on folks its been a while since I have posted the weekly videos. EOP is on his grind and so I'll take the wheel. Something some of you may not know about me is that fact that I play drums. Some of the EOP tracks you love, I supplied the drum sounds and he programs them on the MPC. Enjoy some of my favorite drum videos.
